reddit no sleep: my ex-girlfriend called for help but...something is wearing her face

This week on The Book Fix Podcast, Yajaira and Cheli are stepping away from books and into the terrifying world of Reddit’s NoSleep, and to make matters worse, they’re recording outside in the dark.

In the first story, a man receives an unexpected late-night call from his ex-girlfriend, Jessica, begging him to pick her up from a deserted bus station. When he arrives, she looks like herself, but her strange movements, unsettling stare, and fragmented memories suggest that something is very wrong. 

Yajaira and Cheli discuss how quickly they would recognize that something was impersonating the other, whether their empathy would get them killed, and the absolute horror of seeing something wearing a familiar face sprinting toward your car at full speed. With eerie comparisons to This Thing Between Us by Gus Moreno, questionable survival instincts. This NoSleep story leaves both hosts wondering whether they would survive or accidentally invite the creature home.
